VENDORS

Food Vendors 

 

 

All seafood vendors especially welcome – along with a limited number from other food categories.

Vendors must abide by Festival & Health Department Rules - Regulations as well as City of St Petersburg Fire & Rescue Regulations.


Fee:  $15 registration for a 10’ x 10’ space – this supports 22nd Street Redevelopment activities throughout the year.  Special needs should be indicated on your application – and we will try to accommodate. No cooking underneath tents. Additional adjoining space for the exact same vendor are $25/per space.  The City fire inspector will check for your fire extinguisher - required for all it charcoal/wood, gas or oil heat cooking.


Provide your own table, chairs, & 10’ x 10’ tent(s). There is no electric available on site - generators are permitted. See, read and comply with St Petersburg Fire & Rescue Department ‘Outdoor Event Guidelines’ – attached for hot food vendors

 

>>>No alcohol to be sold / served. No sodas, iced tea, or waters may be sold by vendors – 22nd St. Redevelopment will be the sole vendor for those.  OK are smoothies, fruit / athletic / herbal drinks, coffee.

22nd St supports the community’s youth and entrepreneurial experiences with a quarterly youth market event which is included in the Seafood festival.

 

Youth Market Vendors:
 

  • Youth Market Vendor-Individual  $10/space     
  • Youth Market Vendor-Group/Organization $15/space

 

All artists & handcrafted item vendors very welcome.

 

Fee: $15 for a 10’ x 10’ space – this supports 22nd Street Redevelopment activities all year. Additional adjoining space for the exact same vendor are $25/per space.

 

Only the craft person/company listed on the application may show in the space.  Others need to secure there own $25 booth space.

REFUNDS:  Vendors acknowledge and agree that event organizer is not obliged to issue refunds under any circumstances on vendor space rental.  Organizer is not liable or responsible for delays, cancellation, or postponements of the event or events within the Festival due to inclement weather, war, government action, strikes or other matters beyond its control.

 

FOOD VENDOR RULES

For your happiness – please read these to prepare the event

 

1.         Food vendors may not sell water/bottled water, or sodas.  22nd Street Redevelopment is the only beverage vendor for these.  Selling smoothies, lemonade, tea, coffee, etc. are OK. Questions? Please ask in advance.  727 455-5130  22ndStRedevelopment@verizon.net

2.         If cooking must have a U.L. rated 2A10BC fire extinguisher (charcoal / wood) or 40BC or class K fire extinguisher if cooking with oil. Fire extinguisher should have a current inspection tag. Your booth will be inspected by the Fire Marshall or Fire Dept. representative the day of the event.  See, print out and abide by the City's Outdoor event rules.

3.         All propane tanks and other cooking devices must be protected from tipping over and unintended contact to people or clothing. e.g. set them down in a milk crate.   All cooking devices and hoses must meet current Health and Fire Safety Code. See, print out and abide by the City's Outdoor event rules.

4.         No single tent is to be larger than 10’ x 10’ – larger require permit by the City. Cooking to be done outside (typically behind) tent not under the tent by City code.

5.         Vendors are to provide for hand washing system for food handlers as per the Health Department – to maintain good community health.  You don’t want people getting sick from your food & preparation.

6.         Any safety concerns expressed by the event organizer must be addressed at once or the vendor will not to operate until the safety concerns are corrected.

7.         Disposing of oil and waste water will be the vendor’s responsibility.  The Festival will NOT provide oil refuse containers. Vendors must remove their oil from the site. No water allowed to be dumped on ground. This includes ice melting and hand washing runoff. Any vendor found dumping inappropriate material will be fined and immediately removed from Festival. City of St Petersburg Police Dept. will be on hand all during the Festival.

8.         Prices must be posted and visible to public so they can quickly see what you have to offer.  Signs should be large enough to be seen from a distance and high enough to be seen over the people waiting in line. Without a good sign you will sell less. Have a ‘good’ sign!!!

9.         Vendors may distribute flyers, coupons, etc. for their business (e.g. a restaurants giving out menus). Please control and police paper flyers to keep the event grounds clean.

10.    Vendors are responsible for collecting and reporting Florida Sales Tax from their sales.

11.    There is no shade at the location so vendors are encouraged to provide their own 10’x10’ tent. Vendors must also supply their own tables, chairs, and signage.

12.    Vendors may not utilize music, loud speakers systems, or megaphone devices.

13.    If you intend to also have a wagon, cart, trailer, or item that will not fit on your 10xx10 space, you must indicate that on your application and we will confirm that they can be accommodated or not.

14.    There is no electrical power available on site.  Generators permitted.

15.    If cooking hot food be sure to read and comply with the City Fire Guidelines.
