22nd Street is a powerful version of the American
dream through an African-American lens. The District is the historic
African-American commercial, entertainment and worship center. Today's landscape includes enduring landmarks, museum, a college campus,
and a growing number of food, shopping and service businesses.
The rich heritage comes to life on stage, in the museum, art,
music and in the church.
